Ripples on Bay Water: A Poet's Perspective

Join us for the distinguished lecture, Ripples on Bay Water: A Poet’s Perspective, as Dr. Sue Walker brings to light the history and personalities of those who formed the footprint of Mobile Bay.

The lecture will be held on Sunday, February 8, 3:00 p.m. at USA Baldwin County’s Performance Center, located at the corner of St. James and Summit Streets in downtown Fairhope.

Writing Workshop! Teachers send your students:

USA Baldwin County campus is hosting a Writing Workshop for our students. You can choose a session to attend, or you can send your class to the workshop to hone their writing skills. It's happening all week January 26 through the 29th at 6 PM in the Performance Center.

Diet and Mood Lecture



Nearly 40 people showed up for the lecture on Diet and Mood held Sunday, January 25 at the USA Baldwin County Performance Center. Attendees from the local community, students and faculty enjoyed an hour and a half presentation on the effects of diet on mood.

Dr. Larry Christensen, University of South Alabama, Chair, Department of Psychology, explored the connection between mood and carbohydrate cravings as well as the relationship between depression and food intake.
Dr. Christensen earned his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Doctoral degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a professor in the Department of Psychology with Texas A&M University for 26 years before coming to the University of South Alabama where he has served as Chair of the Department of Psychology since 1994. In 2007, Dr. Christensen published the 10th edition of Experimental Methodology.

USA Baldwin County welcomes development officer!


USA Baldwin County today welcomed Kim Culbreth as the campus development officer. Ms. Culbreth is responsible for development projects for the Baldwin County campus and will be working closely with Dr. Norris and Dr. Wilson developing new projects and partnerships in the community.
